Bigger starting jackpots; faster growing jackpots; bigger second and
third prizes; and more prize multipliers.
Jackpots start at $15 million and grow until someone wins! Tickets cost
$1 per play for each drawing. For an additional $1, you can multiply your
prizes, except the jackpot, by up to five times with POWER PLAY!
Drawings are held each Wednesday and Saturday night. There are nine ways
to win. If you win the jackpot, you can take it in 30 graduated annual
installments (paid over 29 years) or in a single lump sum cash payment.
How to
Play

Use a play slip to pick five white ball numbers from 1 to
55 and your red Powerball – a number from 1 to 42; or
·
Ask your retailer for a Powerball quick pick.
·
You can buy tickets up to 9:00 p.m. (CT) / 8:00 p.m. (MT)
on the nights of the drawings.

You can play up to nine consecutive draws in advance. Just
ask your retailer.
Multiply
Your Prize with POWER PLAY!
For an additional $1 at the time of purchase, you
can multiply your prize, except the jackpot, by up to five times! Your
prize will at least double.
During each Powerball drawing, a Power Play prize
wheel determines the Power Play prize multiplier number. There are 16
slots on the wheel. Odds are 1:4 for each number on the wheel.

· Power
Play costs an additional $1 for each Powerball play. If you buy a
$1 Powerball ticket and add Power Play, your cost is $2.

Powerball rules, all of the prize amounts may vary and become pari-mutuel
with each drawing as a result of the amount of dollars played and number
of winning tickets at each level. The jackpot prize will be divided
equally among multiple winners.
Match 5 Bonus For Record Jackpots When the
Powerball jackpot reaches record levels, the jackpots will increase by a
set $25 million until the jackpot is hit. The prize money collected in
excess of the advertised jackpot amount will be placed into a bonus prize
pool. When there is a jackpot winner, the bonus prize pool will be
divided equally among all winners of the Match 5 prize. The prize will be
paid in one cash lump sum. Power Play will not apply to the bonus portion
of the prize, although the original Match 5 amount of $200,000 is
eligible to multiply.
