$200,000 Powerball Ticket Sold in South Dakota

(Pierre) – A ticket that won $200,000 in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing was sold in Martin.  The ticket was one of five in the nation that matched the five white balls, but not the red Powerball to win the game’s second prize.

The winning Powerball numbers for the Sept. 13, 2006 drawing were:  15, 19, 26, 45, 47 and the Powerball was 3.  The Power Play multiplier was 4.

Lottery director Norm Lingle said the ticket holder should sign the back of the ticket immediately, put it in a safe place, and contact the Lottery office in Rapid City (605-394-5106) or Pierre (605-773-5770) to make arrangements to validate the ticket and claim the prize.

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.

Because no one won the jackpot Wednesday night, the estimated jackpot for the next Powerball drawing on Saturday is $157 million.

Powerball is played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  The odds of winning the jackpot are 1:146,107,962. The odds of winning the game’s second prize are 1:3,563,609.
