Martin man claims $200,000 Powerball prize from Wednesday’s drawing

(Pierre) – Ronald Dailey, Jr. is the state’s latest Powerball winner, matching five numbers but not the Powerball number. He claimed his $200,000 prize at the Lottery Redemption Center in Pierre today.

Dailey found out he won the prize from his dad Ronald Dailey, Sr., who came to his son’s tire business and gave him two thumbs up. “My co-worker asked if I’d still come to work,” Dailey, Jr. said. “I told him if I’d gotten one more number right, I’d be handing him the keys to my tool box.”

Daily purchased his ticket – a quick pick – at the KJ’s Pit Stop in Martin. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. He is the fifth South Dakota player to win the $200,000 prize. Matching five numbers paid $100,000 until the game changed a year ago.
