Dakota Cash jackpot claimed in Rapid City

(Pierre) – Dianna and Jack Venable of Rapid City won Saturday night’s Dakota Cash jackpot worth $26,669. They purchased their ticket at EZ Mart in Rapid Valley.

Dianna discovered they had the winning ticket when she checked the newspaper on Sunday morning. “The numbers just kept coming as I was checking them off,” she said. After re-checking a couple more times, she called her husband to share the good news.

The Venables regularly purchase a ticket for each of the state’s four lotto games.

The Lottery is still waiting for two players to come forward to claim Dakota Cash jackpot prizes. The winners of the May 31, 2006 drawing for $170,693 and for the September 30, 2006 drawing for $210,037 have not yet claimed their prizes. A Powerball prize of $200,000 from the July 1, 2006 drawing has also gone unclaimed. Players have 180 days from the drawing date to claim prizes
