– Someone is starting the new year with a quarter million dollar
Dakota Raffle prize!
The South
Dakota Lottery held the drawing for its first ever raffle game on
New Year’s Eve. The grand prize winning ticket, worth $250,000, is
ticket number 00066161. The ticket was sold in Watertown.
Five
other tickets each won second prizes of $25,000. Those ticket
numbers are:
00020215,
sold in Faith;
00021243,
sold in Aberdeen;
00023633,
sold in Sioux Falls;
00026251,
sold in Sioux Falls; and
00067812,
sold in Sisseton.
Another
250 tickets each won $500. The complete list of winning numbers is
available at the Lottery’s website –
www.sdlottery.org.
Tickets can also be checked at Lottery retail locations.
Players
have 180 days to claim their prizes. The grand prize must be
claimed in person at one of the three Lottery offices in Sioux
Falls, Rapid City or Pierre. The other prizes can be claimed at one
of the Lottery offices or by mail. Lottery offices will be closed
Tuesday, January 1 for the New Year’s holiday.
The
special raffle-style game was held to mark the Lottery’s 20th
anniversary. Only a limited quantity of tickets was available, and
each had an exclusive number. The winning numbers were drawn from
the pool of tickets sold.
A total
of 80,120 of the $10 tickets were sold for the Dakota Raffle game
drawing.
